WHEN WE SIN
Psalm 51
After his sin with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11-12), David expressed
sorrowful repentance in Psalm 51.
1. Appeal to God's Mercy (Psalm 51: 1-6)
Sin is so serious that only God's mercy is great enough to
cover our guilt.
2. Ask for God's Cleansing (Psalm 51: 7-12)
Sin has so deeply stained us that only God can cleanse us and
create a right spirit within us.
3. Respond With Joy (Psalm 51: 13-19)
The cleansing David received from God motivated him to
godly action and holy praise.
