FAMILY THEME: JUSTICE

NO ESCAPING JUSTICE

2 Kings 9

God's judgment falls on the familyof Ahab.

1.  Justice Sometimes Requires Tough Action
     (2 Kings 9:1-13)
In order to bring about justice, God may have to take some
extreme measures. Case in point: the household of Ahab.

2.  Sin Leads to Conflict
     (2 Kings 9:14-22)
The sins of Jezebel, Joram, and Ahaziah ensured there
would be no peace. God could not sit idle after what they
     had done.

3.  God Will Bring Justice to Bear Where There is Sin
     (2 Kings 9:23-37)
Whether justice is carried out in this life or in eternity, we
can be sure that God will bring it to pass.

IT WON'T ALWAYS MAKE SENSE

     (2 Kings 5:1-8)
The Hebrew girl had greater faith than a king and God
     used her simple message.

2.  God's Methods are Best, Even if They Seem Strange to Us
     (2 Kings 5:9-14)
God wants people to obey, even when it does not seem
     to make sense.

3.  We Should Not Desire Glory or Reward for Obedience
     (2 Kings 5:15-27)
Gehazi saw an opportunity to profit from what god had done,
     chased Naaman down, and lied.

The power comes from God and not a prophet.

3.  God Has Power to Protect His People
