FAMILY THEME: ADOPTIVE DISCIPLESHIP

Matthew 28:19-20 ; Titus 2:1-8 ; 1 Samuel 3:1-10 ; 

2 Timothy 2:2 ; Acts 18:24-28

Other believers can help when children do not have Christian parents

to disciple them.

1.  Jesus is Our Model for Adoptive Discipleship

     (Matthew 28:19-20 ; Titus 2:1-8)

     We can follow Jesus' example by helping less mature 

     believers grow in their faith.

 
2.  The Holy Spirit Helps Us Disciple Others and Teach

     Them to Depend on God and Not Us

     (2 Timothy 2:2 ; 1 Samuel 3:1-10)

     We can trust the Holy Spirit to prompt and direct us as

     we disciple others.

 
3.  The Bible Gives Us Examples and Principles for

     Discipling in an Adoptive Relationship

     (Acts 18:24-28)

     God calls us to invest Biblical principles into the lives

     of less mature believers.
