JEALOUSY: THE DANGER ZONE
I Samuel 18:1-21; 19:1-18
Saul was still Israel's king, but he was far from God, as
illustrated in his attitude toward David.
1. Jealousy Fuels Fear
(I Samuel 18:1-9)
Saul's jealousy caused him to have an irrational
fear of David - the young man who had never
mistreated or disrespected the King.
2. Jealousy Gives Birth to Hateful Action
(I Samuel 18:10-21)
Saul's jealousy led him to plot against David in
an effort to kill him.
3. Jealousy is No Match for Love
(I Samuel 19:1-18)
Those who loved David did what they could to
help him escape Saul's assaults.
